Oil painting is Renee’s preferred medium of choice.  She enjoys drawing and using charcoal, colored pencil, markers, coffee, and watercolor, and dabbles with learning to draw online via Procreate.  Her artwork has transitioned from largely focusing on still life to the inclusion and often sole focus on the human figure.  

When weather permits, Renee can be found painting en plein air, while enjoying the outdoor light and trying to capture a moment in time.   She shows her work locally, and has recently been involved with an award winning documentary for which a painting was commissioned.
